Dr. James Burks is an Interventional Cardiologist and has been in private practice in the Elgin area since September of 1993.
He did his Internal Medicine Residency, Cardiovascular Fellowship (Chief Fellow) and Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at Christ Hospital and Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Illinois. He did a fellowship in Electrophysiology at Rush Presbyterian- St Luke’s, Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Burks is Board Certified in Cardiovascular Medicine and Board Certified in Interventional Cardiovascular Medicine. He is a fellow in the American College of Cardiology and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Illinois, Rockford, Illinois.
Jim’s clinical interests include Interventional Cardiology, Electrophysiology, Hypertension and General Cardiology.
